TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) English Teacher Training:
- Our TESOL Diploma course aims to provide a supportive learning environment and reflective professional development for experienced teachers of ESOL, leading to the award of the Licentiate Diploma TESOL from Trinity College London.
We also provide SQA Professional Development Award TESOL courses for experienced English teachers in Scotland.
If you wish to start out, then an ideal course is the SQA PDA Introduction to Tutoring ESOL. This involves two 40-hour units, and covers both the theory and practice of English Language Teaching with small groups and individual learners.
The PDA Applied Practitioner Course is for those currently teaching ESOL in Scotland, and consists of two compulsory Units and one or two option units.

UK-TEFL offers a wide range of short, intensive courses throughout the UK to individuals and groups looking to Teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), with the aim of enabling them to teach English to non-native English speakers in the UK and overseas. We offer 3-day TEFL certificate courses which run Mon-Wed in Birmingham, London Manchester & Cambridge, held every two weeks.
