Our Teacher Training Centre in Newcastle is conveniently located in the city centre close to theatres, galleries, museums, restaurants, night-clubs and pubs as well as relaxing parks and gardens. It is easily accessible with excellent transport links.
Our premises is a beautiful grade 1 and grade 2 listed building which has 16 classrooms, a well-equipped student cafe serving hot and cold drinks and snacks, and a vast personal study programme suite. There is a television and DVD in student common room, wireless internet throughout the school as well as computers with free internet access.
For all students, there are social programmes and welfare staff to help you enjoy your course and make the most of your time studying in Newcastle. You can also access full-time academic, career and accommodation advice.
English Language Teacher Training:
- Full-time CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults)
4-week courses offered year-round. CELTA provides an excellent introduction to the teaching of English as a foreign language, and aims to lay a firm foundation on which a teacher can build as s/he gains experience.
- Full-time Delta Course Modules:
If you have substantial experience in teaching English to speakers of other languages, and are ready to progress in your career, you need the Delta qualification. You can take all modules, module 1 or module 3 at the teacher training centre in Newcastle.
- Erasmus Plus CLIL:
Designed for non-native English language teachers, this is a 1, 2 or 4 week course (25 hours per week)

St Brelade's College, Jersey

• St Brelade’s College is located on the British island of Jersey in the Channel Islands, approximately 20 miles off the French coast and 80 miles south of England. • We are accredited by the British Council and are a member of English UK, along with being a validated course provider of the Trinity College London Cert. TESOL.
• We have been providing English language courses for students from all parts of the world since 1978. In 1989, we ran our first four-week TESOL training course, and have continued to the present day. This is one of the two most widely recognised teaching qualifications (accepted by the British Council and most language schools).
