The Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA):
Cambridge CELTA is an internationally recognised, externally accredited TEFL qualification and your first reliable step to teaching anywhere in the world. This course provides fluent speakers of English with high quality training in teaching English as a foreign language and is taken by over 10,000 candidates each year.
CELTA is suitable for people who are interested in teaching English abroad or in the UK with little or no teaching experience as well as teachers who are already in the profession but who have no formal or practical teaching qualification.
The course includes tutorial support, supervised lesson planning, peer observation, feedback sessions, submission of a portfolio of work and much more.

Intensive Full-Time 4-Week Course:
- An intensive course providing a minimum of 120 contact hours between tutors and trainees involving input, tutorial support, supervised lesson planning, feedback, and peer observation
- Requires the submission by each candidate of a portfolio of work including materials related to teaching practice and written assignments
- Includes six hours of assessed teaching practice per trainee
- Includes six hours of classroom observation of experienced ELT professionals

English Teaching Methodology (2-weeks):
Our teaching Methodology course is designed for teachers of English to improve their teaching skills and is aimed at non-native teachers of English. There are two sessions a day and these sessions have been chosen and developed to encompass a broad range of EFL topics and to cover the most recent developments in English language teaching. This is a refresher course on methodology for English language teachers of adults and teenagers.
Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT): ( Intensive: 22.5 hours or Full time: 15 hours)
1 Week Intensive - Our intensive Cambridge TKT course is perfect for teachers who not only want to improve their teaching skills but also come away with an internationally recognised qualification.
2 Week Programme - Our 2 week Cambridge TKT course is for teachers who not only want to come away with an internationally recognised teaching qualification, but also have the chance to see some of the sights of Liverpool.

Our courses are open to students from around the world. Bournemouth is approximately 150km from London. Based in Bradford in northern England, English Language Centre Yorkshire (ELC Yorkshire) offers effective online TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) / TEFL Certificate and Diploma programmes. St Brelade's College, Jersey

• St Brelade’s College is located on the British island of Jersey in the Channel Islands, approximately 20 miles off the French coast and 80 miles south of England. • We are accredited by the British Council and are a member of English UK, along with being a validated course provider of the Trinity College London Cert.
