Our English teacher training centre in Torbay (40 minutes west of Plymouth) has been running CELTA courses since 1996, and DELTA courses since 2005. It is based in one of Torbay's largest year-round language schools, and is close to both the sea front and the local train station.

CELTA & Delta Explained:
The Cambridge CELTA is an initial English teaching qualification for people with little or no previous teaching experience. The Cambridge Delta is an internationally recognised qualification for experienced teachers of English wanting to open up career avenues to more senior ELT posts for which the DELTA is invariably required.

Torbay & Surrounding Areas:
Known as the "English Riviera", Torbay is known for its unspoilt coastline offering some breathtaking views. Torbay comprises of a 22 mile stretch of over 20 safe beaches and secluded coves.
Torbay, as well as a popular family holiday resort, has, over recent years, become really popular with the diving community. It has many beaches suitable as places to learn and others for the more experienced diver where you can enjoy more challenging wreck diving.

St Brelade's College, Jersey

• St Brelade’s College is located on the British island of Jersey in the Channel Islands, approximately 20 miles off the French coast and 80 miles south of England. • We are accredited by the British Council and are a member of English UK, along with being a validated course provider of the Trinity College London Cert. TESOL.
• We have been providing English language courses for students from all parts of the world since 1978. In 1989, we ran our first four-week TESOL training course, and have continued to the present day. This is one of the two most widely recognised teaching qualifications (accepted by the British Council and most language schools).
• Our courses are intensive and practical, with the emphasis on hands-on teaching experience, together with tutorials on modern techniques and methodology which can be put into practice in the classroom. Courses run in March and October every year, and are designed for a maximum of 12 participants.
• Many of our trainees have been offered summer posts at St. Brelade’s College, and we have also helped teachers find employment in many other countries of the world.

TESOL Training Scotland is dedicated to providing professional development for experienced English language teachers throughout Scotland. We provide a comprehensive online Trinity TESOL Diploma course, with on-site course workshops held in several locations on a rotating basis. Our courses lead to the Licentiate Diploma in TESOL awarded by Trinity College London. We also provide a range of SQA Professional Development Award TESOL courses for experienced English teachers.
Students take classes mostly online through distance learning with a friendly group of teachers and tutors. UK-TEFL offers a wide range of short, intensive courses throughout the UK to individuals and groups looking to Teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), with the aim of enabling them to teach English to non-native English speakers in the UK and overseas. We offer 3-day TEFL certificate courses which run Mon-Wed in Birmingham, London Manchester & Cambridge, held every two weeks.
