The CELTA course is an introduction to the teaching of English as a foreign language and aims to lay a firm foundation on which a teacher can build as s/he gains experience. It is ideal for those with no experience at all or for those who have experience but want to earn a formal qualification.
- Delta Course Modules - Modules 1 and 3 available
The comprehensive Delta training programme is ideal for those wishing to acquire new insights and a deeper understanding of ELT (English Language Teaching). Advanced training includes teaching practice, lesson observations and supervised teaching assignments.
The tutors were extremely professional, always made themselves available for trainees and made the whole intensive process much easier to go through.
The course not only gave me a very interesting new way of perceiving teaching, given the approaches that were taught, but was also a very intense human experience, with highly educated and kind people to share it with.
Everything was perfect at the centre except for two very slow computers and a faulty one out of six, which could be annoying when one was in a hurry.
I would tell anyone planning to take this course to make sure they make themselves available for a whole month, because the course is very demanding. I would also suggest they find some regularity in the way they manage their time and make sure they never lack any sleep on a lesson day, because those are the most important ones. About assignments, you definitely want to start writing them when you’re advised to, because waiting till the last two days is not a good idea at all, it’s overwhelming and makes the course even more difficult.
